Schuett wraps up 2017 and looks forward to 2018

12/4/2017

Dupo, IL (November 25, 2017) While it may have been one of the busiest years of Kyle Schuett’s life, both on and off the track, it also has been one of his most memorable as well. On the track, Kyle wheeled his Health Alliance sponsored, Stanton SR-11 powered, DRC Chassis to one huge win, six top five finishes, and 14 top ten finishes. Off the track, Kyle has worked towards his Master’s Degree, his CPA license, and finished an internship which landed him a full-time career beginning this fall. Whether it was a test at school, or a test on the race track, Kyle spent his 2017 race season working hard to become successful in all aspects of life.

The 2017 race season saw Kyle compete in open competition Indiana races, as well as amongst the best in midget racing with both the POWRi National Midget League and the United States Auto Club. While busy traveling from track to track, Kyle also found himself starting a new career and meeting fans and future racers at multiple public appearances. The 2017 season was a busy one to say the least, but Kyle and his Schuett Racing team wouldn’t want it any other way.

Season highlights from this year include a dominating win with the POWRi National Midget League during the World of Outlaws Ironman 55 weekend at I-55 Raceway in Pevely, Missouri at the beginning of August. Not only did Kyle lead every lap of the 30-lap A-main event, he also won his heat race, sweeping his events for the night in front of a packed house and a MAVTV taping. Kyle also recorded another big top five finish during POWRi National racing at the Valley Speedway in Grain Valley, Missouri in the month of July. In addition to his on-track accomplishments, Kyle was proud to take part in multiple public appearances, including a sponsor meet and greet for the great people at Health Alliance. Meeting fans, taking pictures, and signing autographs are all part of the exciting things that Kyle was able to do during this 2017 season.

Another major highlight for Kyle and his team was being able to return to the track where it all began – the Christian County Quarter Midget track. When Kyle was young and just getting started in racing, this is where Kyle and his family would head on many summer weekends. This year, Kyle and several other CCQM alumni were invited back to show off their cars and meet tomorrow’s future racers. Being able to showcase his great sponsors and meet fans of all ages, it was a great return for Kyle and something he looks forward to doing again in the future.

While the outdoor season is now over, there is still one midget race left on the schedule for 2017. The Junior Knepper 55 will take place at the Southern Illinois Center in DuQuoin, Illinois on Saturday, December 16th. Midget racing at the Southern Illinois Center attracts cars and fans from all over the country, and the racing action definitely doesn’t disappoint. Once the Knepper 55 is over, the team will begin preparing for the 2018 Chili Bowl Nationals – the biggest event in midget racing. Each January, thousands of race fans pack the River Spirit Expo Center located on the Tulsa State Fairgrounds in Tulsa, Oklahoma to watch the best from all forms of racing do battle at the Chili Bowl Nationals. From NASCAR to Indy Car drivers, the Chili Bowl features the best five straight days of racing in all motorsports. In addition to the huge crowds at the racetrack, the 2018 Chili Bowl Nationals finale will once again air live on MAVTV; bringing all the great racing action into homes across the country. Stay tuned to Facebook all winter long for updates on Kyle and the Schuett Racing team and for more details about when Kyle’s races will air on television.

While wrapping up 2017 and looking forward to 2018, Kyle and the entire Schuett Racing would like to thank all the sponsors and partners who make racing each weekend possible.
