Inside Line Promotions – URBANA, Ill. (March 12, 2019) – With less than one month remaining until Schuett Racing kicks off its inaugural campaign fielding a winged sprint car everything has been busy for Kyle Schuett as he readies for his debut.
The team spent most of last Sunday wrapping two new race cars and the mule, a task that took approximately 10 hours. Next up is a trip to the dyno this Saturday.
“We’re moving along steadily and making progress before the season begins next month,” Schuett said. “The cars are looking great and we’re excited to get to the dyno to check the engine. If all goes well and we get some decent weather our hope is to go to a practice day on Sunday.”
Schuett is planning on tackling a practice day at three different tracks during each of the next three weekends beginning this Sunday at Farmer City Raceway in Farmer City, Ill.
“Our goal is to get some laps before the first race so that we can dial everything in better and I can get some experience,” he said. “Right now it’s all contingent on Mother Nature cooperating.”
The team is scheduled to open the season with Built Ford Tough MOWA Sprint Car Series races on April 5 at Jacksonville Speedway in Jacksonville, Ill., and April 6 at 34 Raceway in West Burlington, Iowa.
